Thank you for visiting the Royal Air Forces Association Yorkshire (Eastern) Region Web Site, we hope you enjoy your tour round the site. To visit the various sections of the site, please use the 'buttons' on the left of your screen, where you will also find a very useful 'Links' section.
We are delighted to have financial support from many of our Regional Branches for the Web Site, but we
are presently seeking a major sponsor, or a number of smaller sponsors for the site, so if anyone has any ideas, please get in touch with the
Secretary John Allison, so that the ideas can be taken on board.
With a 'Branch News' page now available, we do need to take advantage of the facility, and ask that Branches send reports of their events again to John Allison in the first instance. The addition of photographs is also a step forward. Again if you have any ideas on how to make the site more interesting, please get in touch.
The Yorkshire (Eastern) Region is but a small element of the wider Association and covers a large geographical area from Whitby in the North to Pontefract in
West Yorkshire. The total number of Branches is 10, all of which vary in capacity with some having Club facilities. If you wish to contact one of our Branches, please get in touch with our Region Secretary,
John Alison, details of which can be found elsewhere on this site.
The Region aims are to promote, develop and deliver Welfare, in support of the wider Association, Where ever required the Region Executive will support Branches with their development work.
New members are always welcome into the Association, and we hope that as well as Ex RAF and RAF personnel, we would ask that you encourage those outside the Service to become Branch Associates, as long as they 'support the ethos, aims and activities of the Association'. Those new members from outside the RAF family, would not of course be eligible for Welfare Benefits, but would enjoy full membership rights.
The current cost for joining the Association, and enjoying the benefits, is just less than 5p per day. If you require information about the Association, you may either contact one of the Region Executive, or any Delegate. You should also feel free to click on the
www.rafa.org.uk site. You are now able to join the Association on line by visiting this website.
